The Toyota Corolla is available in three trims: base, LE, and S and adds some important and fun features for 2012. The base model now has power locks and windows, as well as remote keyless entry, while the LE model receives iPod connectivity, Bluetooth® streaming audio, and steering-wheel mounted audio controls. Competition in the compact segment includes the Chevrolet Cruze, Ford Focus, Honda Civic, and Mazda3.
Because the 2012 Corolla is built for your commute and not for the track, it trades power for fuel efficiency. The Corolla features a 132-horsepower, 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that can be paired to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic. That’s not a lot of power, but the 2012 Corolla does receive 28 mpg in the city and 35 mpg on the highway.
The 2012 Corolla seats five and also features a 60/40-split folding backseat for cargo fleixibility. Multi-reflector halogen headlights and 15-inch steel wheels come standard, while heated exterior mirrors, a rear spoiler, fog lights, power moonroof, 16-inch alloy wheels, and a chrome-tipped exhaust are optional.
Inside you’ll find that the Corolla is pretty conventional; the layout and design are simple and straightforward. When it comes to interior features, the 2012 Toyota Corolla offers air conditioning, a tilt/telescoping steering wheel, and the aforementioned power locks/windows and steering wheel controls as standard equipment. Cruise control, sport seats, a steering wheel with metallic accents and analog sport instrumentation gauges define the sportier Corolla S.
Even though it is small, the 2012 Corolla includes many standard safety features including front side-impact airbags, side curtain airbags, an electronic stability system, traction control, active front head restraints, and antilock brakes.
It’s not the flashiest car on the market, but the 2012 Toyota Corolla combines affordability, efficiency, and reliability into an ideal commuter.

"...This was my first time buying a new car, and I really didn't know where to start. I used your site to get quotes from dealers near me and compared them to the Market Price. Then, I used the knowledge I got from reading your Secrets book to make sure I didn't pay more than I should. It was so easy! I love my new car!" -Sonya S. |
